One-Stop Shop for Major and Certificate Choices

Security
Before entering the website, the user is prompted with the Princeton CAS (Central Authentication Service). This ensures that all users are Princeton-affiliated and have a netid before viewing the data from the website.
User-Friendly Instructions
The Welcome page provides detailed easy-to-understand user instructions to understand the site. The side panel on the side provides quick instructions on how to get started for eager users.
Major and Certificate Search Box
The user can search for majors and certificates in the search box. For example, if a user is unsure about which certificates he/she can select, a search for "certificate" would show all the certificates that are in the database.
Draggable, Expandable Visual Tree
The tree that shows for each selected major or certificate is an easily interpretable visual image. It shows the hierarchical breakdown of all the categorical requirements for the given major or certificate, and it is draggable and expandable to allow the user to navigate it at ease. It is color coded to show the user which nodes have been successfully completed and which have not. It also provides a breakdown of the progress along each node with a fraction that appears when the user hovers over a node.
Course Information
When the user clicks on any class in tree, the side panel changes to show relevant information for that particular class, such as the full name, the distribution it fulfills, and a brief description of the course. If the course is being offered in the current/upcoming semester, then this is also indicated in green.
Helpful, Essential Notes
The side panel often provides notes for major or certificate-specific information that is worth mentioning to those interested in completing the requirements for these majors/certificates.
"Favorite" Button
The "Favorite" button provides a nice convenience to the user so that every time he/she leaves and re-enters the website, his/her "favorited" majors/certificates will always automatically be loaded onto the main panel.
Progress Bar and Statistics
For each major and certificate, the side panel shows a green bar highlighting the user's progress along the given major/certificate and reports a percentage that reflects this progress.

Marked Current Courses
Courses being offered in the current/upcoming semester are marked in bold on the tree, and the corresponding side panel for these courses displays green text that states this, allowing the user to easily see which courses he/she can take now.
